Photographer... Annie Leibovitz

I love this disney series, by Annie Leibovitiz, She has to be one of my favourite photographers. Especially this disney series she has done with Disney.  Can you spot which celebrities have been transformed into some of Disneys finest??

Grey skies, Dull days....

January has to be the dullest of months, Its dark when you wake up and dark when we hit the hay, everything just seems to have a grey glace on it.
With everything so dull outside I have be looking into S/S11 collections for this upcoming season. They have defiantly brightened my day.

One of my favourites,  has to be Betsey Johnsons collection, the energetic designer has most certainly stayed true to her love of colour, and print this season.
Betsey Collection provides us almost with a view of the mix of street styles within the city that never sleeps. From the street styles of New York where models wore highly slogan garments and bold accessories such bike chains.  The takes a trip to the upper east of the city where the models pouffed ball gowns, certainly something that the gossip girls would be seen in.

Here are some of my favourites...

Happy 2011

Happy 2011...........

Most certainly the happiest picture from the festive period, loving the fake snow I am. I thought I best do a post before the festive season officially ends on the 6th as my mother says.
"No decors after the 6th or you get a year of bad luck"
I certainly don't want to jinx it.

So this year, I am going to try an be more active in  every way possible, I don't want to make any resoultions as I know most things happen unexpectedly so what will be will be....
However things am going to live by..

  • Try and love your self as how is any one else meant to like you if you dont like yourself.
  • Embrace Change - It will always happen.
  • Try new things, stop been so scared of everything!
  • Oh and my biggest thing is tone up - I will do the 10k this year!! Training starts on Monday.

Traditional trend

It's nearly that time of year, that everything gets a little bit more coated in glitter, a little bit more homely, and a little bit more jolly. My favourite time of year its always a red season when christmas is around. Crafts and gifts are at there high point so it makes sense for fashion to embrace the traditional tartan that is always a hit to keep us warm during the winter months. Mac have embraced tradition with there Fall/ Winter collection.

Macs VIVA GLAM collection  "A Tartan Tale" is perfect for the festive holiday, and is available in stores now. Its defiantly on my christmas list.

Just in time for the NEW Harry potter.

Its finally here, the first installment of the final Harry Potter Movies. My housemate and I have spent the last two weeks updating ourselves on the previous films geeky, I know but have to admit its a massive guilty pleasure. The Film hits cinemas through out the UK on the 19/11/2010 but premiered last night. I can't wait!! Miss Emma Watson was defiantly the centre of attention  sporting her new look, wearing a lace and feather dress by Rafael Lopez for Atelier Mayer, teamed with black heels by Charlotte Olympia.

Her new look a pixie crop which she debuted for british vogue this month sneak peak below. I love it. A high fashion cut to suit her high fashion status.

The Harry Potter fashionita has developed her love for fashion through out the past years. Modelling for burberry named by many as a fashion icon, Miss Watson also has created a collection her for fair trade organic fashion label People Tree. The brand has just won most sustainable brand at the Global fashion awards 2010. A very worthy cause indeed for a pioneering fashion icon indeed.  Emma continues to work with the label and has created a second collection with the company.

ELLIE GOULDING!

On the 02/11/2010 finally the eagerly anticipated Ellie Goulding show at Leed 02 academy had arrived a date waited months for and it was certainly not a disappointment. After hearing friends report she wasn't her best live I wanted her to prove them wrong and put on a awesome show. Which she did not disappoint me, lights and instruments galore all played by herself and her team she is certainly one talented little lady. Flicking between drums, keyboard and guitar while singing I defiantly a bigger fan than before.

I love mawi's dynamite rings, If only i could bedazzle myself in them.

After spending the past week in a field with so little jewellery I am currently on a jewellery binge. Festival chic was very much about head wear,  from floral head bands to animal hats. The bizzarer the better, much to my pleasure there was glitter paint every where.  My favourite band had to be Arcade Fire, after not really listening to much of there stuff they actually blue me away with there set at leeds 2010.

defiantly a crowd pleaser.

CATH KIDSTON charity event

On Tuesday myself and My friend went to the Cath Kidston charity event supporting Marie Claire Cancer Charity.

It was an exciting event to say the least we were like children in candy shop, with constant grins and rosy checks. Spending nearly two hours deeply indulged in floral patterns, glittery strawberrys, and the cutest of primary shades.
The representative from Marie Claire says that the whole night raised at least two nights worth of care for someone, through the ticket prices alone. Money well spent if you ask me.

To create this wondrous event Cath Kidston teamed up with "the marvelous tea and dance company" to help create a lovely evening had by all.
